Parking and Easements

One of the main changes City Planning has instituted this year is road easements. We will have and enforce a 5 foot easement on both sides of the main roads throughout the city. This is to ensure the safety of participants, movement of emergency vehicles and to help ease traffic woes. Please do not pitch your tent or set up camp infrastructure within this easement- besides impeding movement in the city, it’s dangerous. Although we will love you no matter how many pieces you come in, we’d rather have you whole. You do not want your car or truck towed!

Burning Flipside is a regional art and music festival inspired by Burning Man. It is a place for radical self-expression and an experiment in temporary community building. It is a place of personal responsibility, inclusiveness, and respect. It is organized entirely by volunteers. The art and entertainment is created solely by participants. There are no spectators. There are no concession stands. No cash transactions are permitted at Flipside and even bartering is discouraged. This is a sincere experiment in creating a gift economy. If you need something, ask for it. If you have it, gift it! This is a Leave No Trace event. There are no garbage cans. Participants pack out what they bring into this private event.

Burning Flipside 2012 will take place over Memorial Day weekend. Tickets are NOT available for purchase at the Gate.
